‘GTA 6’ Now Finally Has A Release…Year

Take-Two just had an  earnings report out , and there is one particular section that appears to be quite attention-grabbing. Looking ahead to the future, Take-Two says that Fiscal 2025 is a “highly anticipated” year for the company. I think we know what that means, but see if you can figure it out: “In Fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering even higher levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond.” $8 billion in Net Bookings? It’s Grand Theft Auto. It’s Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar has said practically nothing about GTA 6, just tiny teasers, while huge-scale leaks have revealed a project that looks vast and detailed and scope, and also quite good, even for being absurdly early in production when...

Kojima's surreal sci-fi adventure Death Stranding is free on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store's latest free game is Death Stranding, the debut title from Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima's studio. Players can claim their copy until May 25. No strings attached, it's yours to keep forever. So if you've ever been curious to check out Kojima's trippy, supernatural package delivery sim, there's never been a better time.  An important thing to note: This giveaway applies to the original version of Death Stranding that released in 2019, not the revamped Director's Cut from 2021 with added features and story content. However, you  can  get the Director's Cut version for a steal too — it's been discounted from $40 to $24 until June 15.  The original Death Stranding typically retails for $30 on the Epic Games Store, so it's a pretty great deal getting it for free. The game stars Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges, a delivery boy ferrying packages across a post-apocalyptic United States devastated by supernatural phenomena. It...

Blizzard confirms BlizzCon will return as an in-person event in November 2023

BlizzCon, the convention centered around all things Blizzard, is   back on the calendar after a multi-year hiatus . The Anaheim Convention Center will host BlizzCon on November 3 and 4 this year, and Blizzard will release more information on competitions, cosplay, and tickets next month. This is the first time in four years that BlizzCon will be held in person, rather than online. The COVID-19 pandemic was an obvious deterrent for in-person gatherings in 2020. It has been a tumultuous few years for Blizzard, and not just because of COVID. In summer 2021, Activision Blizzard was the subject of a lawsuit from the state of California claiming the publisher had fostered an environment of “constant sexual harassment.” And for the past few years, Microsoft has been attempting to buy Activision Blizzard, navigating regulatory issues around the biggest acquisition deal gaming has ever seen. The atmosphere around Blizzard remains uncertain.  Overwatch ...

It’s likely that you’ll receive hints on where to find the Frostbite Armor from NPCs or Old Maps scattered across Hyrule. But like with the Ember Armor, if you want to skip the additional steps and get straight to the treasure, we’ll explain where to find it as quickly as possible — detailing the spots for the  Frostbite Shirt ,  Frostbite Trousers,  and  Frostbite Headdress . Tears of the Kingdom team ‘interested’ in Zelda movie after Mario success

The Super Mario Bros. Movie   is far and away the biggest hit of 2023 so far, having grossed over $521.8 million in the United States   and $1.1 billion in total around the world . Nintendo could call it a win and walk away, but the year has only just begun. As   Mario   enters its sixth weekend at the box office, there’s only one real threat to its complete hold on all-ages audiences:   The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom . The long-anticipated Zelda sequel is here, and destined to become another astronomical win for the company. Nintendo’s undeniable hold on the zeitgeist raises an important question: Where’s the Zelda movie? At the tail end of Polygon’s big interview with  Tears of the Kingdom  producer Eiji Aonuma and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, we found ourselves dying to know if a Zelda movie was a remote possibility, let alone one on the horizon. The answer was promising for anyone hoping to one day put down the controller a...

Last Chance to Play Diablo 4 Before Release Is Right Now on PS5, PS4

If you want to play   Diablo 4   one last time before its release on the 6th June, this is your last chance. The so-called Server Slam — which is basically an open beta — is now live on PS5 and PS4. All you need to do is download the client from the PlayStation Store. The Server Slam includes the whole first act of Diablo 4, which equates to a sizeable amount of playable content. What's more, all five character classes — Barbarian, Sorcerer, Necromancer, Rogue, and Druid — are available to try. If you didn't take part in the previous betas, then we think it's well worth jumping in to see whether the game's for you. As the name suggests, the Server Slam should allow Blizzard to get a handle on the technical side of things ahead of the action RPG's full launch in just a few weeks. With that in mind, we wouldn't be surprised if there are some technical hiccups over the testing period — just so you know! The Server Slam lasts the full weekend, ending on Sunday the...
