The Sims 4's free infants update has spawned

  The Sims 4  has now birthed its free Infants update, which takes the runtiest part of your digital doll's lives and expands upon it. Sims during those pre-walking years now have full needs and wants, which means the Sims around them will need to spend more time caring for them lest they grow into maladjusted adults. At launch, The Sims 4's children were flimsily represented, as they skipped from inanimate "baby" to walking-talking child. A previous update added a "toddler" phase. Now that "Infants" have arrived, the former "baby" phase has been renamed "newborn" and shortened to only last a couple of days. Infants can't walk, but they can crawl, poop, play, and cry. and other Sims of all ages can interact and nurture them. Dead Island 2 Devs Think 'Development Hell' Wasn't So Bad Actually

  Dead Island 2 , the   zombie RPG that passed through so many hands someone forgot it in the development oven for over a decade, is finally coming out on April 21. This is a week earlier than anticipated, which we love to see. What’s funny, though, is that developer Dambuster Studios is out here saying the game’s development hell gave the studio “quite a lot of goodwill in the end.” In case you forgot,  Dead Island 2  was announced at E3 2014, with work reportedly starting sometime in 2012.  Dying Light  studio Techland was originally set to spearhead the project but wanted to focus on  Dying Light  instead. This led publisher Deep Silver to shop around for a developer to helm  Dead Island 2  until  Spec Ops: The Line  creators Yager Development stepped up to the plate. Resident Evil 4 Remake devs want to "betray your expectations"

  If Capcom gets its way, the Resident Evil 4 remake will "betray your expectations," which sounds just a little ominous to me. In an interview with Play Magazine, Resident Evil 4 Remake producer Yokiashi Hirobayashi explained how the developers are straddling the line between staying faithful to the original game and delivering something exciting for new and old fans alike. "We want the game to be simultaneously fresh yet familiar. Our aim is to 'betray' your expectations in the best way possible while of course respecting the feel of the original game." We've already gleaned from the trailers released so far that Resident Evil 4 Remake ditches a few key design elements from the original to fit a more modern formula, but Hirobayashi stressed just how much work is being done to retain the spirit of the original game. Warzone 2 players blast devs for taking a “significant step back” with updates

  Towards the end of Warzone 1, patch notes gave players detailed weapon updates with explanations and exact numbers. Community members demand that same level of clarity for WZ2. On February 24, a Warzone 2 balancing update finally nerfed some of the battle royale’s most dominant weapons. The RPK, TAQ-V, Fennec 45, and Kastov 762 were all hammered based on community feedback. Fans celebrated a quick response from the developers as the update came just a week after the Season 2 weapon balancing update. WZ2 players previously criticized the developers for not making significant weapon-balancing updates between Season 1 Reloaded and Season 2. Despite providing a better response time, some community members have still felt let down by the battle royale sequel’s patch notes. Blood Bowl 3's reception among players is a bit of a bloodbath

  Blood Bowl 3  released this past week to a reception from players as brutal as one of its matches. As its  Steam reviews  sit at the 'mostly negative' mark, developers Cyanide have  posted a response  aimed at "addressing the main topics of discussion". First up, the less than stellar launch. Blood Bowl 3 had server issues and some crash and "infinite loading" errors that meant some people couldn't play. All of these are reportedly fixed in a patch on Thursday, and some players have reported a marked improvement. More unsual at release was a "mistake" that led many players who bought Blood Bowl 3 on Steam to receive the incorrect version. The Brutal Edition, which bundles the core game together with extra cosmetics and bonus in-game currency called Warpstone, was given to all players regardless of which version they bought. EA reportedly cancels unannounced single-player Titanfall/Apex Legends project Seemingly same game teased in 2021

  Following EA's announcement that it's   ending development   on Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile, it's been reported the publisher has also cancelled an unannounced single-player game set in the Titanfall/Apex Legends universe. That's according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, who, citing three people familiar with the matter, says the Respawn-developed game - internally known by the code-named TFL or Titanfall Legends - was being helmed by creative director Mohammad Alavi until he left the studio in 2021 to pursue what he called his "next adventure". Prior to his departure, Alavi had confirmed he was working on a "brand-new Respawn single-player adventure", which - combined with later word from VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb that the project was a first-person shooter with a focus on mobility and style - suggests this is the very same game now reportedly canned.
