Pokémon Go developer Niantic is making a real-world Monster Hunter game

Niantic is working with a different kind of monster for its next release. The studio,   best-known for  Pokémon Go , announced a partnership with Capcom to make a title based on the   Monster Hunter   franchise. The new game is called   Monster Hunter Now , and it aims to take the core of that series — you know,   hunting monsters   — and transform it into the kind of real-world, augmented reality experience that Niantic is known for. Gameplay specifics were light (Niantic says more details will be available when the closed beta launches in the near future) but it appears that  Monster Hunter Now  will follow a somewhat familiar formula. The premise is that the  Monster Hunter  universe has somehow seeped into our world, and players will be able to encounter monsters, along with various resources, on a real-world map. The twist, it seems, is that the game will utilize the same gameplay cycle that  Monster Hunter  is known for. Hunting monsters will earn players different materials, w

Nintendo Wants Discord To Reveal Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Art Book Leaker

Nintendo of America has filed an application for a DMCA subpoena at a district court in California which, if granted, would order Discord to reveal the identity of the person who leaked The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's art book back in February. TorrentFreak reported earlier today that the company's attorneys applied for the DMCA subpoena on 7th April 2023, and it specifically mentions the name of the user who Nintendo believes is responsible for the leak, along with the name of the Discord server where the images reportedly leaked first. As laid out under US copyright law in Section 512(h), a DMCA subpoena requires that a provider — for example, a sales website or a social media platform — must disclose the details of the infringer. Nintendo has been aware of the leak for a while, it seems, as the company initially sent a DMCA notice on 21st February. Discord responded to the request, which contained multiple links, confirming that it would be removing the content

Overwatch 2’s next balance patch will make some supports scarier

Overwatch 2  season 4   kicks off April 11, bringing a   new support hero to Blizzard’s free-to-play hero shooter . The existing roster is getting a fresh set of balance changes as well, with some of the bigger ones affecting tanks and support heroes. Blizzard previously covered a rework to Brigitte that will update her ultimate ability, Rally, that gives her shield some upgrades: Her ult will make the shield stronger and wider, and will give her the ability to (once again) stun enemies with her Shield Bash. Offsetting that buff are changes to her movement speed during Rally, and a reduced range for her Repair Pack healing ability. According to Blizzard’s season 4 patch notes for  Overwatch 2 , Moira is also getting a big upgrade. Not only will her Biotic Grasp offer better healing, she will now have the option to use her Fade ability while she’s firing her ultimate, Coalescence. That will be a huge boon for Moira players who are able to predict an ult-disrupting Roadhog Chain Hook o

CoD: Warzone 2 Season 3 Roadmap Details New Features, DMZ Overhaul, And More

A new season of Call of Duty arrives on April 12, and Activision has revealed the roadmap for Season 3. Warzone 2's new content will include a brand-new battle pass, more operators, Ranked mode, and more. Here we highlight all the major announcements for Season 3 of Warzone 2. New weapons and operator Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 will add four weapons to the game. The battle pass includes the iconic Intervention sniper rifle, which is rebranded as the FJX Imperium sniper, and the Cronen Squall battle rifle. Later in the season, players can expect two new sidearms. Activision's blog doesn't name them, but they are both described as being fully-automatic weapons. Both Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be available to unlock in the premium tiers of the battle pass. More operators are teased to arrive later in the season, which will likely be available as shop bundles. Season 3 also introduces a beefier version of the battle pass bundl

Overwatch 2 Trolls Are Using Lifeweaver To Pull Teammates To Their Death

Overwatch 2 ’s new support hero   Lifeweaver   isn’t even in the game for most people yet, and he’s already causing a stir within the community for his potential to be a troll character. One of Lifeweaver’s abilities is called Life Grip. It allows the user to shield and pull a teammate to their position. Blizzard frames this as a heroic ability that can let you pull a friend out of danger when they’re surrounded or save them from being booped off the map. However, as early players using him on the game’s test server have realized, Life Grip can be used for evil, and Lifeweaver players are using it to pull their teammates into precarious situations, as seen in the TikTok embedded below. One off-meta LoL champ pick is dominating Bronze in Patch 13.6

Lower ranks in  League of Legends  are known for sometimes having unusual champions dominate certain roles. And in Patch 13.6, mid lane has been dominated by an uncommon champ for the role. As of now, Mordekaiser has the highest win rate in the mid lane in Bronze ranks with 54.20 percent, according to a  League  stat site U.GG. The Iron Revenant outpaces three powerful mages in Patch 13.6—Aurelion Sol, Malzahar, and Veigar—who have all found themselves in the top five in terms of win rate. Still, seeing Mordekaiser dominating the scoreboard is quite surprising, to say the least. The champion is traditionally a top laner, with his kit allowing for a tanky yet resourceful build. Mordekaiser’s main strength lies in his ultimate, with which he can single out a certain enemy and eliminate them in a solo duel in the Death Realm. Mid laners are usually required to bring more to the table besides single-elimination damage. But, on the other hand, it’s the Bronze ranking, and we guess that ha

Apple’s VR Headset Is Likely Delayed

Apple Play Later First, Apple has announced that its next WWDC event is set for June 5. The annual developer conference is a place for nerdy tech types to mingle, but also the setting for some of Apple's biggest announcements of the year. While it's never a guarantee exactly what Apple will announce, there's a healthy rumor mill that gives a pretty good idea of what's to come. If this WWDC is anything like the last dozen or so, expect to hear primarily about new software updates to Apple’s mobile and desktop devices. Apple sometimes announces a hardware device or two at WWDC. The big rumor that's been blowing around for years now concerns Apple's upcoming mixed-reality headset. A steady trickle of leaks have suggested that Apple may announce the augmented reality device at WWDC, but that timetable seems to be getting pushed back. According to technology analyst and Apple soothsayer Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is likely to push back its reveal of the headset until
